Dans sa forme la plus simple, le formald\u00e9hyde est un gaz. Il est irritant pour la peau et pr\u00e9sente une odeur \u00e2cre, m\u00eame \u00e0 des concentrations inf\u00e9rieures \u00e0 1 ppm. Le seuil d\u2019odeur se situe entre 0,5 et 1,0 ppm. Les vapeurs de formald\u00e9hyde sont \u00e9galement inflammables et explosives.<\/p><p>Le formald\u00e9hyde dans sa forme naturelle se trouve dans les aliments (en particulier dans les fruits) \u00e0 de tr\u00e8s faibles teneurs, est \u00e9galement cr\u00e9\u00e9 par la combustion du tabac (tabagisme) et se produit dans le m\u00e9tabolisme humain, o\u00f9 il est d\u00e9compos\u00e9 par catalyse enzymatique en dioxyde de carbone et en formiate, et \u00e9limin\u00e9 respectivement par expiration et miction.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e4aa99d e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"e4aa99d\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-19eb3cff elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"19eb3cff\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>L\u2019utilisation industrielle du formald\u00e9hyde<\/h3><p>Il existe de nombreuses utilisations industrielles du formald\u00e9hyde, notamment dans la synth\u00e8se des encres, comme liant de r\u00e9sine dans la fabrication de meubles (contreplaqu\u00e9, panneaux composites) et d\u2019ameublement (tapis), et comme conservateur dans la synth\u00e8se chimique dans la production pharmaceutique (vaccins) et dans l\u2019industrie chimique (cosm\u00e9tiques, shampooings, d\u00e9odorants et savons).<\/p><p>L\u2019utilisation la plus largement reconnue du formald\u00e9hyde est dans la conservation des \u00e9chantillons de laboratoire et l\u2019embaumement dans les morgues.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6189446d e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"6189446d\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-55e7289b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"55e7289b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>Le formald\u00e9hyde dans l\u2019environnement et ses effets sur la sant\u00e9 humaine<\/h3><p>Les pr\u00e9occupations environnementales sont limit\u00e9es, car le formald\u00e9hyde est rapidement d\u00e9grad\u00e9 dans l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re par des r\u00e9actions avec d\u2019autres substances ou dans le sol par des bact\u00e9ries. Les risques pour l\u2019homme sont beaucoup plus importants car le formald\u00e9hyde est facilement absorb\u00e9 par la peau et les voies respiratoires.
