Le nickel pur se trouve \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de plus grandes m\u00e9t\u00e9orites nickel-fer qui n\u2019ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 expos\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur de l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re terrestre ou dans des roches ultramafiques.<\/p><p>Le nickel est principalement extrait de deux groupes de gisements de minerai. Le premier groupe de gisements de minerai sont les lat\u00e9rites telles que la limonite (Fe, Ni) O (OH), un m\u00e9lange nickelif\u00e8re, ou la garni\u00e9rite, un m\u00e9lange de divers silicates riches en nickel et de nickel hydrat\u00e9. Le nickel m\u00e9tal est principalement utilis\u00e9 pour la production d\u2019acier inoxydable et d\u2019alliages de nickel. La zone entre les lignes pointill\u00e9es orange repr\u00e9sente la zone de stabilit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;eau. Le diagramme montre que la sp\u00e9ciation du nickel dans l&rsquo;eau est domin\u00e9e par sa forme \u00e9l\u00e9mentaire cationique (OMS).<\/p><h3>Comment le nickel est-il retir\u00e9 des eaux souterraines?<\/h3><p>La forme \u00e9l\u00e9mentaire cationique du nickel (Ni\u00b2\u207a) peut \u00eatre efficacement captur\u00e9e et \u00e9limin\u00e9e des eaux souterraines \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019une r\u00e9sine ch\u00e9latante s\u00e9lective \u00e0 cation d\u2019acide faible (WAC) avec un groupe iminodiac\u00e9tique, telle que
