Det har en stark doft, ofta f\u00f6rknippad med starka reng\u00f6ringsmedel. Ammoniak (NH\u2083) \u00e4r l\u00e4ttare \u00e4n luft men kan l\u00e4tt kondenseras till en v\u00e4tska tack vare starka v\u00e4tebindningar mellan ammoniakmolekylerna (det \u00e4r v\u00e4tebindningarna som ger vatten dess unika egenskaper). Det anv\u00e4nds och produceras inom en rad olika industrier. Impregnerat aktivt kol neutraliserar den basiska naturen hos ammoniak (NH\u2083) genom enkel syra\/bas kemi och lagrar sedan slutprodukterna i porstrukturen hos det aktiva kolet.<\/p><p>Impregnerat aktivt kol \u00e4r mer effektivt f\u00f6r att avl\u00e4gsna ammoniak (NH\u2083) j\u00e4mf\u00f6rt med icke-impregnerat aktivt kol eftersom den h\u00f6ga kinetiska energin hos ammoniakmolekylerna medf\u00f6r att attraktionen till adsorptionss\u00e4tena p\u00e5 det aktiva kolet reduceras. Genom att impregnera kolet kringg\u00e5r man detta genom att ammoniaken (NH\u2083) f\u00e5ngas genom en kemisk reaktion d\u00e4r ett salt bildas som i sin tur stannar p\u00e5 kolets yta i ett reagerat tillst\u00e5nd.<\/p><p>Det impregnerade kolet som anv\u00e4nds f\u00f6r att avl\u00e4gsna ammoniak \u00e4r AddSorb\u2122 VB1 med en teoretisk kapacitet p\u00e5 mer \u00e4n 4%.
