Ce site de production haut de gamme, détenu en propriété exclusive par Jacobi, est opérationnel depuis octobre 2009. Entièrement achevé fin 2010, Jacobi India est l’un des plus grands sites de production de charbon actif à base de coques de noix de coco au monde. Construit en un temps record sur un site vierge de 15 hectares, aucun autre projet dans l’histoire de Jacobi ne représente mieux son engagement à satisfaire les besoins croissants de sa clientèle toujours plus importante.

Ce site, détenu en propriété exclusive par Jacobi au Sri Lanka, est le premier site de production de charbon actif de coques de noix de coco construit en ayant l’utilisateur final à l’esprit. Les différents procédés ont été conçus pour répondre à des besoins spécifiques et ce site est devenu le centre mondial d’excellence de Jacobi pour les charbons à mailles fines, microgranulaires, lavés à l’eau et à l’acide, et imprégnés. L’usine a été mise en service en 2005, sur un site vierge, et a récemment été agrandie de façon à doubler sa capacité de production.
