Manufacturing Plant – Sri Lanka

Jacobi’s wholly-owned plant in Sri Lanka is the first coconut shell activated carbon plant ever built with the end user in mind.  All processes were designed to cater to specialities and the plant has become Jacobi’s global center of excellence for fine mesh, microgranular, water and acid washed and impregnated carbons.  The plant was commissioned in 2005 on a greenfield site and recently underwent an expansion to double its capacity.
